  •  Sun Telecom's ASU cable construction is that 250um fibers are positioned in a loose tube which is made of high modulus plastic, filled with a water-resistant filling compound. The cable core is formed by stranding one such loose tube together with two non‑metallic strength members (FRP) into a compact and circular cable core. After the cable core is filled with water‑blocking yarn, the cable is completed with a polyethylene (PE) sheath.
