The 2025 Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) will be held from November 5 to 8, 2025 in Suzhou, China. ACP is one of the leading academic and industry events in the Asia-Pacific region focusing on optical communications and photonics. Since its establishment in 2001, the conference has been jointly sponsored by international organizations including Optica, SPIE, the IEEE Photonics Society, the Chinese Optical Society (COS), and the China Institute of Communications (CIC).

The conference brings together experts, scholars, and industry professionals from around the world to exchange the latest research, technological advances, and industrial trends. Its technical program includes plenary and invited talks, technical sessions, workshops, and industry forums covering topics such as optical communication systems and networks, optoelectronic devices and integration, optical sensing, and emerging photonic applications.

As part of ACP 2025, a workshop on “State of Optical Access Networks – Standards, Deployments and Applications” will be held. Sponsored by Sun Telecom and organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the event will take place at the Suzhou conference venue and will also be streamed live online. The workshop will feature tutorials delivered by leading experts, including speakers from the China Telecom Research Institute and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, offering perspectives from both industry and academia. Through these sessions and interactive discussions, the program will provide in-depth insights into the latest standards, deployment solutions, and innovative application scenarios for Optical Access Networks (OANs).
